Southlake Child & Family Photographer {Second Birthday Portraits in Southlake}
I had the pleasure of capturing this gorgeous little girl’s second birthday pictures in Southlake this summer. She was an absolute doll and probably one of the easiest two year old children I’ve ever photographed. She listened intently when I’d ask her to pose or look at the camera (this does not always happen with two year old little ones). I love that I was able to capture her gorgeous blue eyes! They were simply stunning!
On the original date of our session, we arrived to the location and it started pouring rain five minutes after our arrival. We reschedule for later in the week and we had a gorgeous summer evening and beautiful light.
We started out on the wooden bridge, moved to the pond, an finally the treed area of this Southlake photography location.
I brought along two of the dresses I have in my client closet (see blog post here for wardrobe options I have for little girls) and they looked beautiful on Miss Skylar. They are both from Trisch Scully Child and provided a elegant and classic feel for the pictures.
Wardrobe is so important, and I especially love any items that have texture such as tulle, lace, or chiffon. Neutrals always photograph beautifully and are classic and elegant. I always stress how important it is that the clothing match the decor of your home. My goal is to provide timeless portraits that can be handed down for generations to come. Timeless clothing will ensure your pictures will never look dated and can be enjoyed for many generations to come.
We started our session with taking pictures of sweet Skylar alone then captured a few with mom and dad towards the end.
